IT'S SO NICE TO MEET YOU!
I'm Marisa, a Michigan photographer based in the Metro-Detroit area and your personal hype-woman. I capture life and love through my lens, and I am here to showcase your unique story.
I thoroughly enjoyed being in front the camera for as long as I can remember, but it wasn't until I took the leap and stepped behind the camera that I ignited a new-found passion for creating visual art for others. The most fulfilling part about what I do are the interactions I have with the people I work with- the look of happiness when I show them a preview of the photo I just took, the tight hugs after we finish a session, or the sheer excitement when I deliver their galleries. With each new session I have the pleasure of documenting, I am inspired by each and every one. It's an absolute honor to be trusted with bringing your visions, and stories, to life. My overall goal is to be a friend, not a vendor. I believe that building meaningful relationships and real connections with my clients is the foundation of my work. I want to ensure you're feeling natural and comfortable, but most of all, having so much fun!
OUTSIDE THE LENS
I have been with my wonderful fiancé, Mark, for four incredible years and we have a beautiful son together. We also have two fur babies with the same black & brown brindled coloring- Kota, our dog, and Zola, our cat.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University (that I no longer use lol). I've been at my day job in the corporate realm for 6 years. During these 6 years, I have worked extremely hard, pushed my limits and shattered glass ceilings; I grew, learned, mentored, and gained valuable skills on how to be a leader and effectively communicate. The longevity in my career has also given me the opportunity to work with all different types of people from all different types of backgrounds, which translates directly to working with clients in the photography space!
I pour my heart and soul into the things I'm passionate about, old and new. I put as much energy and determination as I possibly can into every endeavor, and that effort is apparent in the quality of work I produce.
